Nurses are healthcare professional who aide the ill, they play an important role when there is war. Many of these women saved hundreds of lives during the Civil War, WWI, and WWII. In the 1800s nursing was viewed as a beggar's job and it was usually a women's role. This idea has since changed and now we even have male nurses. Today, these women and men perform a wide range of clinical and non-clinical functions necessary to the delivery of health care. Some famous nurses include Florence Nightingale pioneer of modern nursing, Clara Barton founder of the American Red Cross, and Margaret Sanger who fought for the legalization of birth control.
There are plenty of nurse style costumes. You can go for plain scrubs for a more contemporary nurse look or go with the customary, white nurse's costume with a matching hat. Or you can try a black and red vinyl nurse costume for a sinister look. Perhaps when playing doctor you may want to go for a sexier look in a short satin dress. Try adding fishnets and high heels for a more sensual look you can even add a fake syringe and stethoscope for a professional look.
